The most exciting thing that I've got going on in my life at the moment is my ravelry.com waiting list status - which, wonderfully, I've moved quite far ahead in!

Found you!
You signed up on July 14, 2007
You are #16435 on the list.
1036 people are ahead of you in line.
17898 people are behind you in line.
44% of the list has been invited so far

Isn't my life exciting? Sucks to be one of the 17,898 people behind me.... Can't believe I've been waiting since July to discover the wonders of what is ravelry... looks like it's creeping up soon!

Oh, and for what it's worth... the Fall, 2007 issue of Interweave Knits has a few good articles about knitting green + an interesting article about cables, which I'm quite obsessed about atm in my knitting!

I got my invite yesterday. I haven't got a Flicker account, so that's something that I'll have to create. I've been looking briefly at the site, but so far haven't found anything that makes me drool. Hopefully, I'll find those things that everyone else has been raving about. So far, though, it's just another knitting sight and blogging opportunity.

is that all? :( oh... well hopefully the hype of ravelry comes from somewhere... we'll see when I get there I suppose! If it's just about blogging, I'm not sure how kept-up with it I'll be, since I've a hard enough time blogging here! (Believe it or not!)

Well, all the hype must derive from somewhere, I'll have to do a bit of ravelry-exploring.

After playing with it for a few days, I'v figured out that it's about chatting with others, organizing your projects and posting photos of them, tracking your progress on your projects and posting your patterns. I haven't found all the patterns yet - there are huge numbers of them - and there are a few bugs to be worked out still.

It has groups like Yahoo, and message boards and communities, opportunities to join kals, exchanges, that kind of thing, too. And the blog thing.

It seems to be a huge site to me. I know there's lots that I haven't seen yet.
